In the summer of 2025, FOX News Media partnered with BOOM to hit the road with a bold mission: transform its trusted news brand into a high-impact, real-world experience at some of the country’s most iconic state fairs. The FOX News Summer Tour became a four-stop journey through Ohio, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Texas, bringing the newsroom to the fairgrounds in a way that was immersive, interactive, and unmistakably FOX.
The challenge wasn’t just to show up—it was to stand out, connect, and leave a lasting impression. As a leading national media brand, FOX News sought to expand its reach beyond the screen and into the heart of American culture, engaging audiences face-to-face at beloved state fairs. The goal was to translate FOX News’ digital and broadcast authority into a live, localized experience that resonated with diverse fairgoers across multiple states—while maintaining brand consistency, increasing engagement, and delivering measurable marketing value.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
BOOM developed a scalable, immersive brand experience that blended FOX News’ national presence with the high-energy atmosphere of local fairgrounds. From the adrenaline-pumping Hang Tough Challenge—where guests tested their grip strength for a chance to win a limited-edition PBR belt buckle—to stepping behind the desk in the “Be the Anchor” green screen experience, the activation invited fans to become part of the brand. Guests could snap selfies on a full-scale FOX & Friends set or interact with a custom state-fair seesaw, refreshed at each stop with regional flair. Exclusive, state-branded swag ensured the FOX News presence lived on long after the fairgrounds closed. The result was a deeply engaging activation that captured attention, sparked participation, and generated authentic content at the center of local culture.
Through scalable production, regional customization, and smart audience engagement, BOOM successfully transformed a multi-location strategy into a cohesive, audience-connected experience. The result was a standout tour that not only captured attention on the fairgrounds, but also delivered high-impact engagement—proving the power of bringing a national brand directly to the communities it serves.
